About JAEN
How can I join the Japanese Association for Emergency Nursing?
The Japanese Association for Emergency Nursing accepts membership applications throughout the year. Please follow the application procedure to register. You will be registered once our office has received confirmation of your membership and annual membership fee. Those who have registered will receive their membership card and our publications (journal and newsletter). Please allow 2–3 weeks for the publications to arrive.

Membership in the Japanese Association for Emergency Nursing is open to nurses who agree with the objectives of the association and are engaged in research, education, practice, or business related to emergency nursing, as well as other individuals who agree with the objectives.

Is there a monthly prorated annual fee?
Annual fees are paid on a business year basis (From September of a year to the end of August the following year). Note that membership fees are not calculated on a monthly basis when you join in the middle of a business year.

The business year of the Japanese Association for Emergency Nursing runs from September 1 of a year to August 31 of the following year.

If you wish to be a member to participate in an academic conference or to attend a seminar to be held the following year, encircle “Academic Conference” or “Seminar Participation” in the “Purpose of Membership” box and fill out the necessary information on the membership application form. Once determined that your registration is for an academic conference or seminar participation for the following year, your application will be processed as an application for the following year.
Note that the membership card will only be sent out the following year in such cases. If you do not fill out the above information, or if you encircled “Other,” your membership will be processed based on the year in which your annual fee payment was received.

Membership cards will be mailed to all members upon admission to the association and after payment of annual fees.

Are there any seminars that I can only take if I am a member of the association?
This varies depending on the seminar or course, so please check the details of each seminar or course you wish to take. The fees for most of the seminars and courses are also lower for members (some courses have the same fees for both member and non-members).

How do I register for a seminar?
You can register for all seminars and courses at the Japanese Association for Emergency Nursing through the web portal. First-time users of the portal will need to complete the “User Registration” process only once.
Registrations by email, phone, or postcards are not accepted.

Since 2005, the Japanese Association for Emergency Nursing has been accepting applications at any time and there has been no specific application period.
