Association-Certified Emergency Nurse System

Name

This system is called the Association-Certified Emergency Nurse System. Nurses who have been certified can be referred to as Association-Certified Emergency Nurses or ACENs.

Objectives of the system

The Japanese Association for Emergency Nursing (JAEN) will certify the capabilities of nurses who can provide speedy and appropriate nursing care to patients and their families requiring emergency treatment and nursing, as well as nursing care services that correspond to the JAEN-stipulated Clinical Ladder III for emergency nurses, on their own initiative. By establishing and disseminating this certification system, the JAEN aims to standardize emergency nursing and guarantee and enhance the quality of nursing care.
